Cars & Coffee Moraga happened today. They had a little trouble with finding a venue but it worked out in the end. Good thing the parking lot was big, because there were well over 150 cars (maybe closer to 250) that came. There were a bunch of Lamborghini s, Ferraris from all decades, 5+ McLarens, every generation of Skyline (sans R31 but including R34 ), all manner of Porsche GT cars, and a bunch of familiar faces from the rallies that I do. People came from 3+ hours away. It was thumping.
And yes, before you ask, people were wearing masks AND distancing.
I grabbed a few pictures with my Polaroid but mostly just chatted with folks that I saw. I brought the Exocet and my brother (visiting from LA for the weekend).

The car next to the E-Type appears to be a real unicorn, an Apollo 3500 GT, aka the “Thorndyke Special” in the original Herbie movie.

The one over at Vaughan is still cancelled, even though our city has entered Stage 2 reop ening.

That sucks. Morning Motors in Santa Cruz is still cancelled and as a result, most of those people ended up here for this one.

Well I rather have them being overly cautious than to just open it up, we’re doing decent up here but not out of the woods yet .
I do remember it getting quite crowded.

Honestly, if you can protest outdoors, then you can do cars and coffee.
